Location for the 80s Movie Night

Okay people here it is....Christy's place. That's where we are meeting to have a great time and watch a great movie and eat great food. Very excited about this. Not sure where Christy lives though. Hopefully we'll have you an address and/or map soon. Looks like quesadillas are in, we need to know who's coming so that we can assign you things to bring. Let us know if you're coming and what you want on them. Also, we have a chocolate fountain coming! Oh yeah. So bring your favorite things to dip for that if you want. Look for the next update later this week!

Great Meeting and Fun Times

So Saturday night went really well! It was great to see all of you that came out. We enjoyed some good food, well at least I did:-) Hope you guys did too. Had a couple new people there. You guys keep checking the calendar for events. The time at Pastor Keyes' house was great. They are very hospitable. And the dessert was really good!

Our next event will the 80s party on the 30th. Think we figured out where it will be. Stay tuned. The next event after that will be the David Crowder Concert on the 11th of January. Ran into a friend of mine the other day at the mall and he works for Brushy Creek Easley and his job is to really promote this concert. They need people to attend. If we can get enough people together, he will cut us a deal. So, the tickets normally cost $20, if we can get 25 sold, he may be able to cut as much as $5 off. What I'll do is take up $20 from people and then return whatever is not needed at the concert. Does that work for everyone? Then if we don't get enough, at least we got tickets. And then if we get enough you have extra money to spend that evening.

The deadline for saying yes you're coming and getting money to me or Jeremy or Katie or Micki will be the 6th of January. Invite your friends. Maybe we'll go for desert or pizza after. Or if you guys want to grab dinner before hand, but with general admission and it starting at 6pm it could be better to go out after. Post your comments.

Tonight's The First Unofficial Gathering!

So here we go! Tonight is the big night. Look forward to seeing everyone at McAllister's on Congaree for dinner. Then it's off to the Keyes' for desert. Should be a good! Thanks for all of you on Facebook commenting on the wall. Feel free to post here. Not everyone has a Facebook.

What a great response we have had though to this group. Rich emailed the other day and is excited about how excited everyone is. Not just us young adults but also the people at the church and others in the community that are hearing about us. I really feel that God has orchestrated this to come together at this time. So cool to see how all this has come about.

Take care, looking forward to this evening. Make sure to put the 30th on your calendars for our 80s Movie night!

First Post

Okay, here goes the first post. Trying out some different features. Thinking about having a public calendar that people can look at, but guess once the new church website gets up we can use that and just direct people there. The Facebook group is up and rolling, if you have any friends that want to check it out. We have our first gathering this Saturday. McAlister's on Congaree at 5:30. Then it's off to Pastor Keyes house for a bit. Jeremy has more details that he will send out. There is an email set up with this account. Anhy leaders wanting to check the mail and respond to new people with interest in the group, let me know and I'll give you the password. It will be set up to come striaght to my iPhone and laptop, but willing to share responsibilities. That's it for now. More to come soon.
